Natural Minor
Add a Major Second (2) and a Minor Sixth (♭6) to the Minor Pentatonic scale to complete the Natural Minor Scale. Dark and Melancholy in sound and a staple in Rock and Metal music.
More Minor Scales
There are a few different minor scales. In the baroque period, composers altered the Natural Minor scale to create the Harmonic Minor and the Melodic Minor scales. The Natural Minor Scale, also called The Aeolian Mode or Pure Minor, is the most useful.
Any scale containing a Minor Third (♭3) is a minor scale. The Minor Pentatonic, Dorian Mode, and Phrygian Mode are also minor scales.
