Minor Chord Tones
You can construct a Major chord by adding a Fifth (5) and Minor Third (♭3) interval to a Root Note. Play these notes together to make a chord, or play them in sequence as an arpeggio.
In subsequent scales, pay attention to which notes are chord tones and which are not - landing on chord tones provides a sense of comfort and stability, while landing on non-chord tones creates varying degrees of tension and excitement.
